Dover, Del. (Dec. 7, 2012) --- Second place finishes by Ketsia Dornevil and Janae Wilson highlighted Delaware State's season-opening indoor track & field meet for the Hornet women at Navy on Thursday.
Dornevil was runner-up in the 800 meters with a time of 2-minutes-17.02 seconds, trailing only Rachel Paul of Georgetown, who posted a winning time of 2:12.12.
Delaware State's Dashera Richardson was eighth in the 800-meters (2:22.97), while teammate Ashley Robinson finished 11th (2:25.84).
Wilson took second place in the triple jump with a top leap of 11.27 meters. Ajada Thomas of Morgan State won the event at 11.72 meters.
Wilson also recorded a top five finish in the long jump, placing fourth with a top effort of 5.37 meters.
DSU's Shalaya Sidney was seventh in the long jump (5.15m), while Nykeisha Sewell was 12th (5.00m).
