Dover, Del. (Dec. 3, 2012) --- Delaware State University head women's lacrosse coach Jillian Lontz has announced that five current high school seniors have signed to attend the University and compete for the Hornets beginning in the 2014 season.
Committing to DSU during the early signing period are: attackers Megan Card (Magnolia, Del./Caesar Rodney HS) and Brionna Watkins (Ridgely, Md./North Caroline HS); midfielders Emily Etkins (Havre De Grace, Md./John Carroll HS) and Kayla Yurkanin (Louisville, Ky./Male HS); and goalie Emily Pasternak (Hamburg, N.Y./Frontier Central HS).

"I am extremely excited about our 2014 class," Lontz said. "They all have the passion and dedication to the sport, and have embraced the opportunity to be pioneers for our young program."

Lontz added, "This incoming class will really make a difference to our growing program. Their talents, combined with our current players, will make for a completely different DSU women's lacrosse team in 2014."

Delaware State University will make its women's lacrosse debut on February 16, 2013 at Wagner University in New York. The first home match is Feb. 22 against Detroit Mercy.
