SFMSports.net, a sports production and broadcast network specializing in new media technologies, will produce and broadcast all DSU football and men's basketball games, along with selected women's basketball contests, using its digital broadcast system this year.
The broadcasts will feature a 30-minute pre-game and tail gate show prior to each football broadcast, 30-minute all-access pre-game show before each basketball broadcast and a weekly interactive coaches show through the fall and winter sports seasons.
"SFMSports.Net has a greatly improved mobile streaming platform, offering unlimited world-wide reach for smartphone users," said Steve Clendenin, President of SFMSports.Net. "Studies indicate a huge increase in smartphone users listening to sports play-by-play on their phones in recent years, which will allow greater exposure to Delaware State University athletics through this platform."
"We are excited to join forces with SFMSports.Net to broadcast Hornet sports this year," said Delaware State University Director of Athletics Candy Young. "SFMSports.Net's numerous online and mobile streaming options will allow our fans and alumni around the world, including many of our former international student-athletes, to easily follow the Hornets on the air."
In addition, archives of each game broadcast, coach and player interviews will be offered.
