Dover, Del, (Nov. 15, 2019) --- Delaware State seeks its second straight win , taking on MEAC rival Norfolk State at Alumni
Stadium. The Hornets are coming off a 16-13 victory over MEAC co-leader Bethune-Cookman last weekend. DSU led 16-0 and held off a late Wildcat rally to snap an overall seven-game losing and a six-game skid against Bethune-Cookman. Redshirt freshman running back Thomas Bertrand-Hudon became the first Hornet in nine years with back-to-back 100-yard games, rushing for a career-high 133 yards and a touchdown in the Bethune-Cookman contest. Also, freshman wideout Bizzett Woodley had his team-high sixth touchdown reception of the season on a spectacular one-hand grab while falling out of the endzone last week. The Delaware State defense contributed to last week's win by holding Bethune-Cookman to more than 70 yards below its season offensive output entering the game. The Hornet “D” also recorded three fourth-down stops in the second half, in addition to registering a safety. Norfolk State brings a two-game win streak into the contest. The Spartans are coming off a 38-21 road win at North Carolina Central last weekend.
