DSU W TENNIS EDGES ST. FRANCIS IN FALL CONTEST

Dover, Del. (Oct. 7, 2019)--- Delaware State won three of the five contested singles matches and two doubles contests in a 4-3 victory over St. Francis (N.Y.) last weekend.

DSU's Lolita Kozina won the No. 2 singles contest in straight sets, topping Martina Radinovic 6-1, 6-1.

Iris Leder gave the Hornets a victory at No. 4 singles, defeating Runsi Patro 6-1, 4-1, while Delaware State's Anastasia Belkina needed three sets to upend Dea Lako 4-6, 6-4, 6-1 in the No. 3 match.

In the doubles competition, Kozina teamed with Cassandra Boltman for a 6-2 win in the No. 1 contest and Belkina and Leder took the No. 2 match 6-1.

The Hornets continue their 2019 fall schedule with a visit to Rider on Wed. (Oct. 9). The match is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. in Lawrence Twp., N.J.
