Dover, Del. (Dec. 9) --- Delaware State hosted their Pre-Conference Invitational on Friday afternoon at the DSU Outreach & Research Center.
The Lady Hornets finished first overall with a team score of 27 points. DSU had an average finish time of 27-minutes-and five seconds (27:05) and a total time of 2 hours- 15- minutes and 28 seconds (2:15.28). Delaware State had four runners finish in the top ten, lead by junior Sierra Cruz whom finished sixth with a time of 25:34.2. Cydney Davis (26:27.0) Lakendra Harpe (26:43.2) and Marissa Browning (26:50.0) finished in 7th, 8th and 9th place respectively. Cruz's sixth place finish is the highest she has finished so far in her career.
Up next for the Lady Hornets is the Don Cathcart Invitational in Salisbury, Maryland on October 5th the race begins at 9:45 am.
