Princess Anne, Md. (Sep. 21, 2019) --- Delaware State placed seventh in the 2019 Eastern Shore Invite women's race on Saturday. The Hornets recorded a total team time of two hours-eight-minutes-39.7 seconds in the eight-team race.
Navy was the top team in the race at 1:37:03.60. Host Maryland-Eastern Shore was second (1:41:28.61) and Howard third (1:46:54.20).
Sylvia Okafor was Delaware State's top finisher, placing 37th among 63 competitors, completing the 5K course in 23-minutes-12.40 seconds.
Sierra Cruz was the next Hornet to finish the race, coming in 45th place at 24:48.10.
