Norfolk, Va. (Apr. 30, 2019) --- Delaware State's Brianna Baker (so., Waldorf, Md.) has been honored by the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference for her performance last weekend.

Baker was named MEAC Pitcher-of-the-Week after tossing 15 shutout innings in three Hornet victories over Maryland-Eastern Shore Apr. 27-28.

She allowed just seven hits, while striking out five and walking one to earn the victory in each contest. Baker pitched her first complete game shutout in DSU's 3-0 win over the Hawks in the first game of a doubleheader on Apr. 27 and combined with Tiffany Diao in the Hornets' 8-0 victory in game two.
