HORNETS FIFTH AFTER DAY 1 OF NAVY SPRING INVITE

Annapolis, Md. (Apr. 13, 2019) --- Delaware State is in fifth place after the opening round of the Navy Spring Women's Invitational at the Naval Academy Golf Course today.

The Hornets had a combined team score of 355 (+67) after the first 18 holes. Host Navy is in the lead at 303 (+15), followed by Boston University at 307 (+19), Lehigh 323; +35) and Monmouth (342; +54).

Panisara was Delaware State's top performer on the opening day with a score of 83 (+11) to tie for 16th in the individual standings.

DSU Kanyakorn Chothirunpanit is 23 in field after a day one score of 85 (+13).

The tournament continues on Sunday. Delaware State's first competitor, Caroline Rakoski, will tee off at 8:30 a.m.
