Dover, Del. (Apr. 4, 2019) --- The Delaware State women's lacrosse team will play the first of three straight home contests on Friday (Apr. 5) against Southern Conference rival Central Michigan. Start time for DSU's 2019 conference opener is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. at Alumni Stadium.
The Hornets (1-5) have been idle since a 21-6 loss at Kent State on March 29. DSU won its last home contest, 14-11, against Howard on Mar. 22.
Central Michigan has lost its last two games, including a 19-12 setback at Mercer in its most recent outing on Mar. 31.
Senior Olivia Summerville is Delaware State's leader with eight goals and 10 points. Emmy McGill (fr.) is second on the Hornets with six goals and seven points.
Delaware State is also home on Sun. (Apr. 6) to face Detroit Mercy in a conference battle starting at 11:00 a.m.
