Staten Island, NY (Jan. 18) --- The Lady Hornets record four top-ten finishes at the NYC Gotham Cup this weekend.
Nissa Martinez-Smith had the best finish of the day for DSU, placing third in the 60-meter hurdles, with a time of 8.91 seconds.
The 4 x 400 relay team comprised of Lakendra Harpe, Donyae Shelton, Precious Igwebuike and Ahnrea McCaskill finishes in fifth, crossing the finish line in 4-minutes-2.05 seconds.
Amber Conyers finishes in seventh place with 11.46 meters in the Triple Jump, a career high in distance for the Junior.
Conyers also places tenth in the Long Jump with a mark of 5.14 meters.
Delaware State scored 12 points and finished in 22nd place out of 33 teams.
Next for the Lady Hornets is the Captains Invite on Jan. 25.
