Pennsylvania, Pa. (May. 1, 2017) --- Delaware State traveled to Pennsylvania to take part in the most prestigious event in all of Track & Field, the Penn Relays.
The Hornets 4 x 100 relay team composed of Trameceia Sample, Loren Harris, Leah White, and Nelana James finished second in their heat. The group finished with a time of 48.80 seconds.
DSU's 4 x 200 relay team (Faleesha Dowe, Omealla Gordon, Loren Harris and Cydney Franks) finished in first place of their heat. The relay team finished the event in 1-minute-38.52 seconds.
The 4 x 400 relay team also finished first in their heat. The quartet of Omealla Gordon, Faleesha Dowe, Cydney Franks, and Leah White finished with a time of 3:48.96.
Next up on the agenda for DSU, is the MEAC Outdoor Championships. The competition will be held in Greensboro, N.C. Events for the meet will start on May 4th.
