Princeton, N.J. (May 13, 2013) --- Delaware State University took second place in the men's 4x400-meter relay at the 2013 IC4A Championships at Princeton University on Sunday.
The Hornet team of Ryan Carter (sr.; New Castle, Del.), Alpha Mansaray (so.; Claymont, Del.), Kevaughn Laviea (sr.; Dover, Del.) and Stephen Bowe (jr.; Wilmington, Del.) posted a season-best time of three-minutes-nine.25 seconds, trailing only George Mason (3:08.28) in the 1600-meter relay final.
Carter also captured the bronze medal in the IC4A 400-meter dash championship with a career-best time of 46.20 seconds, behind only first place David Verburg of George Mason (45.34 sec.) and runner-up Tewado Latty of Boston University (46.15). Last week, Carter won MEAC championships in the 400 meter dash and 200 meter dash.
