Dover, Del. (June 11, 2010) --- Delaware State University Head Women's Soccer Coach Nitan Soni has announced that seven high school seniors have signed to attend the university and compete for the Hornets beginning with the upcoming season.

"I believe we added some quality players to our program," said Soni, who is in his third year with the Hornets. "They will provide depth as well as skill and knowledge that will compliment our overall team development."

The Hornets return all but one starter from their 2009 squad.

Delaware State will kick off the 2010 soccer regular season at Maryland-Baltimore County on Aug. 20. The home opener is Aug. 20 against Delaware. The Great West Conference opener is Oct. 8 at home versus New Jersey Tech.
