HORNET SOFTBALL TO RAISE EPILEPSY AWARENESS

Dover, Del. (Mar. 8, 2010) --- The Delaware State softball team will be swinging to knock out epilepsy during a tournament at the Hornets Nest later this month. The Hornets will support the Epilepsy Foundation's "Purple Day" project with a tournament/fundraiser March 26-28.

The Sean Savage Memorial Tournament begins on Friday, March 26 when DSU takes on  North Carolina Central, and will continue with games on Saturday and Sunday.

Throughout the tournament, representatives from the Delaware Epilepsy Foundation will be on hand to provide information and answer questions.

The weekend will also feature contests and giveaways, including a $50 restaurant gift card raffle.

Donations to support the Delaware Epilepsy Foundation will be collected throughout the weekend.

Each team participating in the tournament will wear purple wrist bands and shoe laces to raise awareness and support for the cause.

The Delaware State softball complex is located on Route 13, just north of Alumni Stadium and across the highway from the Dover Mall.
