VIRGINIA BEACH Va. (November 25, 2009) - Fabian Dunn, Andre Caroll and Nick Lochner have been named to 2009 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) all-conference second team as announced by the league today.

Dunn finished the 2009 season ranked sixth on the squad with 44 tackles (18 solo). The Silver Springs, Md., native registered two sacks and 3.5 tackles for loss this past season. Dunn notched two quarterback hurries and recovered two fumbles in 2009. The 6-foot-4 redshirt senior set a career mark this past season, recording eight tackles versus Norfolk State (Nov. 14). For his career, Dunn tallied 106 tackles (45 solo) with 9.5 tackles for loss and three sacks during his four seasons at DSU.

Caroll led all DSU defenders with 56 tackles (23 solo) this past season. The Neptune, N.J., native registered seven tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks in 2009. Caroll recorded a season-high 11 tackles versus Morgan State (Oct. 24) and tallied six-or-more tackles in five contests this season. For his career, Caroll has registered 100 tackles (35 solo) with nine tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks.

Lochner finished the 2009 season averaging 39.1 yards-per-punt The Webster, N.Y., native booted 52 punts for 2,032 yards this past season. Lochner sent punts of 50-yards-or-more 15 times in 2009, including a career-long 70-yard punt versus Morgan State (Oct. 24). The 6-foot-1 punter placed 16 kicks inside the 20-yard line this season. His 39.1 average in 2009 ranks fifth in the DSU record books, while 39.2 career average is third-best all-time at Delaware State. For his career, Lochner booted 101 punts (No. 9 all-time a DSU) for 4,150 yards (No. 6 all-time at DSU). Lochner earned MEAC Special Teams Player of the Week twice during his Hornet career.
