Dover, Del. (Aug. 30, 2018) ---The Delaware State women's soccer team is on the road for its next two contests, beginning with a Friday (Aug. 31) match at UNC-Ashville. Start time is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. in Asheville, N.C. This will be the first meeting between the teams.

The Hornets (0-4) are coming off a hard-fought 3-0 loss to Temple last Sunday. Delaware State allowed a goal in the second minute of the match and never recovered. DSU trailed 2-0 at the half, but came up empty on several scoring chances in the second period. The Hornets have fallen behind in the first 10 minutes in each of its last three contests.

UNC-Ashville (0-2-1) is coming off a 1-0 loss to North Florida in its most recent match last Sunday. The Delaware State contest will mark the 2018 home opener for the Bulldogs.

The Hornets are also on the road this Sunday (Sep. 2) at the University of South Carolina Upstate. The match is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
