DSU TO MAKE TWO NATIONAL TV APPEARANCES IN 2012

Dover, Del. (June 8, 2012) --- Delaware State University's 2012 football contest at Morgan State University in Baltimore, Md., originally scheduled for Saturday, October 27, has been moved to Thursday, October 25 and will televised nationally on ESPNU.

The game will kick off at 7:30 p.m. at Hughes Stadium on the Morgan State campus.

Also, the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) has announced its national television football schedule for the 2012 season. The schedule kicks off with the Hornets' "Route 1 Rivalry" contest at The University of Delaware on Saturday, Sep. 8 at Tubby Raymond Field in Newark, Del. The game will air live on The NBC Sports Network.

Delaware State's Oct. 25 contest at Morgan State is the third of three Thursday night Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) games to be televised live on ESPNU during the 2012.

The ESPNU/MEAC schedule kicks off with Morgan State at North Carolina A&T on Sep. 27. Hampton will visit North Carolina Central in the other contest on Oct. 18.  

This will be Delaware State's first ESPNU appearance since 2010, and fourth overall. The Hornets' three previous ESPNU Thursday night contests were home games at Alumni Stadium. DSU defeated Bethune-Cookman 24-10 in its first ESPNU Thursday night game in 2007. The Hornets won a 35-28 overtime thriller against Florida A&M on ESPNU in 2008. Delaware State fell to Hampton 20-14 in its last ESPNU appearance in 2010.
